Meet Kimber

Background:

Kimber was an owner-surrender at a local shelter. We rescued her 5/4/2019. She was very skittish and anxious when we got her but after a few months she came into her own. Everyone who knew her when we adopted her says she’s like a different dog now. Confident, smart, happy, funny. We trained a lot to get her where she is today. She couldn’t walk down the steps of our RV or up the stairs at work (I think because you could see between them)...now she’ll not only run up and down them, she’ll even climb a ladder. We worked with a private trainer for her obedience and public access training. The tricks and tasks are just us having fun.

Familiar/comfortable with distractions such as trains, crowds, restaurants, malls, motorcycles/dirt bikes, golf carts, boats, etc.

 

Not a fan of thunder or fireworks but we are working on desensitizing her.

 

Kimber wears a harness most of the time so she is comfortable in costumes and clothes. She’ll even tolerate sunglasses and hats. She loves learning new tricks. If there is something special you’d like her to learn, please let us know.  Kimber earned her Champion Trick Dog Title during quarantine last year. It’s been a long road but we’ve had fun.
